There is something beautiful

About lovely words that touch the heart

Words that true love does impart

Kindness of strangers, stranger yet still

That I have never seen them

And yet hope I will.

Music rings in my ears with power and praise

And I pray daily for God’s true grace

Here’s hoping for a future of promise

Here’s hoping for peace and for joy

Here’s hoping for love that abounds

Within the hearts of the lonely

The popular and the in between.

Now I see the face.

about feeling your fingertips,

caressing my bare back

while oh my love

you reside in my embrace

at that very moment

wherein i’m met w your homely gaze

we held, somewhere in secret; away

from all the noise and the cold

for just the two of us

holding conversations;

cuddling underneath, a similar canvas

wherein, in the past, we lay broken

but today, the only sound

that echoed was of us giggling
