OVE

Earlier that day she had gone to visit a friend who was going through a tough time.  He took her out for coffee and a cinnamon bun.  Actually it was John’s cinnamon bun, but Annie ate most of it.  She was starving.

There was a sign there in the coffee shop.  It was a small wooden ornament that simply said “OVE.”

Annie saw it as incomplete love and wondered about it.  On the way to drop John off at his home Annie stopped at the wonderful Little Free Library someone had constructed with love on their front lawn.  The owner had been truly selfless, adding his own collection of gems to the little wooden house of books.  One of the books Annie picked up was called “A Man Called OVE.”
