Tired of the idiosyncrasies
Of our society
Where youth is applauded
As though it were achieved.
And gross amount of
clothing is a benefit
As though it made the person
A better soul indeed.
The address and the job they have
Give character a boost.
But nothing of the heart inside
That lives within the host.
And when He comes
We will look up
And wonder what we’ve done.
I want to be sure of my soul
When I see my One.
