To a carefully wrapped bundle
Tucked under the hospital blankets,
And nestled into her breast.
Her serene and tender face
Held all the joys
Of a mother holding
Her newborn
For the first time.
Oh to hug the caregiver
Who purchased and gifted
The stuffed monkey.
