Happiness knocked on
My mind and heart
In different ways today.
In the experience
Of having a friend bend
Over my lawnmower,
Adjusting, fiddling, tweaking
And fixing the beast.
In the feeling
That I’m learning
About myself and
Know that the little
Looks my partner give me.
And I find happiness
in the knowledge
That I found
The rightful owner
Of the abandoned
Sonoma on my property.
Everyday I find reasons
To be happy in
Experiences, self-education,
And giving back.
