Thankful

That I see the problem from several angles:

the dryer vent is leaking gas into the premises,

Asked two men in the town to fix it when I knew

what the problem was

One said he didn’t know anything about it

and to call a professional.

Another one who took advantage of me and

purchased a toolbox for next to nothing

told me I had to stop coming over.

The truth that I see is that I need to be

self sufficient and call a professional.

My problem, my bill, my hope for a welcoming

town has dissolved and now I’ll just sell the place

and move on.

Thankful I had a tank full of fresh air that God gave me

in the starry sky above.

I never would have awoken if it hadn’t been spoken

about the gas leak in my home.
